This information is provided pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter the “Regulation” or “GDPR”) and describes the methods of processing personal data of users who consult and use this website, accessible at www.aedolab.com (“Site”). It does not apply to other websites or external online services that may be accessible through links on the Site.

A. DATA CONTROLLER

(Identity and contact details)

Following consultation of the Site, data relating to the user accessing the site (referred to as the “data subject” as an identified or identifiable natural person) may be processed. The Data Controller is Aedo Società Cooperativa Impresa Sociale, registered office at Via Due Giugno 1, 26900 Lodi, VAT No: 08730410969 | info@aedolab.com (“Controller”).

B. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING, TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED AND RETENTION PERIOD
  1. Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this site acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified individuals; however, due to its nature, it could, through processing and associations with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response from the server, and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

Such data is used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning; it is deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain liability in the event of hypothetical cybercrimes to the detriment of the site: except for this eventuality, web contact data does not persist for more than sixty days. For information about cookies, please refer to the relevant section titled “Cookies”.

  1. Data provided by the user

The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of messages via contact forms on the site or by email to the addresses indicated on this site—including for the purpose of submitting applications for potential job openings or unsolicited applications—entails the subsequent acquisition of the data provided by the user, including their email address, and implies consent to receive any replies to such requests.

The personal data thus provided is used solely to fulfill or respond to the transmitted requests and is disclosed to third parties only if necessary for that purpose. The data is retained for the period necessary to fulfill the request and in accordance with current legislation.

  1. Cookies and other tracking systems

Please refer to the section (“COOKIES”).

C. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

The legal basis is:

  • Browsing data, the legitimate interest of the Controller;
  • Data provided by the user, the performance of the services requested by the Data Subject;
  • Cookies section, legitimate interest for technical cookies and consent for any profiling cookies.

D. DATA RECIPIENTS

The personal data collected is processed by the Controller’s personnel, who act on the basis of specific instructions provided regarding purposes and methods of processing.

Furthermore, the data collected as a result of consulting the Site is also processed by data processors appointed by the Controller. The relevant list may be requested from the Controller using the contact details provided in section A (“Data Controller”).

E. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

Data subjects have the right to obtain from the Controller, in the cases provided for, access to personal data and the rectification or erasure of such data or restriction of the processing that concerns them, or to object to processing; they also have the right to data portability (Articles 15 et seq. of the Regulation). These rights may be exercised by contacting the Controller using the contact details provided in section A (“Data Controller”).

F. RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT

Data subjects who believe that the processing of their personal data carried out through this site is in violation of the provisions of the Regulation have the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority (as provided for by Article 77 of the Regulation), or to bring the matter before the appropriate judicial authorities (as provided for by Article 79 of the Regulation).

COOKIES

What are they?

Cookies are pieces of information stored by the browser when a website is visited using any suitable device (such as a PC, tablet, or smartphone). Each cookie contains different data (e.g., the name of the server it comes from, a numeric identifier, etc.), may remain in the system for the duration of a session (until the browser is closed) or for longer periods, and may contain a unique identification code.

What are they used for?

Cookies are used for various purposes depending on their type: some are strictly necessary for the correct functionality of a website (technical cookies), while others optimize its performance to offer a better user experience or allow statistical data to be gathered on site usage (analytics cookies), or enable personalized advertising (profiling cookies).

Consent: any consent provided by the user is stored by the Controller through a technical cookie, with a duration of 12 months. The user is informed both through a short notice and this extended notice.

Cookies used on this site

First-party cookies: only technical and functional cookies are used, for the purpose of session management (duration: session), and for storing the user’s consent to the use of cookies (duration: 12 months).

How to disable cookies?

Browser control: Commonly used browsers (e.g., Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) accept cookies by default, but this setting can be changed by the user at any time. This applies to both PCs and mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones: it is a function that is generally and widely supported.

Therefore, cookies can easily be disabled or blocked by accessing the options or preferences of the browser used, and it is generally possible to block only third-party cookies as well; in general, these settings will apply only to that browser and on that device, unless there are options enabled to unify preferences across devices. Specific instructions can be found in the options or help (help) page of the browser itself. Disabling technical cookies, however, may affect the full and/or correct functioning of various sites, including this one.

Typically, today’s browsers:

  • offer the “Do not track” option, which is supported by some websites (though not all). In this way, some websites may stop collecting certain browsing data;
  • offer the option of anonymous or incognito browsing: this way, no data is collected in the browser and browsing history is not saved, but browsing data may still be collected by the operator of the visited website;
  • allow the deletion of stored cookies in whole or in part, but upon revisiting a website, they are typically installed again unless this possibility is blocked.

Below are links to the support pages of the most commonly used browsers (with instructions on disabling cookies in those browsers).
