OFFLab – Our Future Fab Lab – is a project by Aedo creative company, conceived and developed between January and April 2023. Presented in the ‘Extrabando’ funding lines of Fondazione Cariplo (FC) in July 2023, it is supported by FC within the three-year urban regeneration programme ‘Lacittàintorno’.

There is a need to decrease the anthropogenic environmental impact on the planet, reduce social inequalities and promote concrete actions for climate justice.

OFFLab aims at the essentials: to increase the perception of the value of the environment as a common good, to be respected and protected; to host and generate concrete actions, according to everyone’s possibilities, needs, desires; to offer an economically sustainable and accessible solution.

Every project is born from an idea.
This idea was born out of a need.
Conceived as a living organism, the OFFLab project is a green design installation designed to practice the 17 SDGs of Agenda 2030.

OFFLab consists of two distinct but complementary and interacting parts: its physical form (hardware), composed of an autonomous spatial module, and its essence (software), designed to generate daily actions with a low environmental impact and high social value, linked to the different contexts in which it can be installed.
Cost-effective, certified, built according to anti-waste policies and also using recycled materials, OFFLab is quick and economical to build because it is prefabricated and can be assembled in a short time. It is multifunctional and modular, simple and essential in its finishes, built respecting the parameters of environmental sustainability, space safety, aesthetics and functionality. These characteristics are the basis of an eco-friendly project, capable of adapting to the needs of the market and to those of different environmental and social contexts.

OFFLab is a design registered as an engineering patent.
